Background Details

This Is Galo's first season selling his coffee outside of Ecuador and we couldn't be more excited to offer his lot. Galo is a dairy farmer who decided to try out coffee production not too long ago. Red Fox was introduced to Galo through well known producer Hernan Zuniga, who is Galo's neighbor. Galo produced 80 quintals of parchment coffee this season on 4 hectares of land.

Green coffee transparency: 308lbs @ $7.34/lb, March 2022 (Commodity coffee price: $2.25/lb. Why is this important? Coffee pricing is complex and multifaceted, and sharing what we paid is an incomplete picture, but we believe in sharing the data we have available, hoping that will embolden others to do the same, with the ultimate goal of getting producers fairer pay for their excellent work.)

Length of Relationship: Red Fox, since 2021. Galos Davalos since 2022
